Default Lca & Lca relocation bracket install.

I am going to be buying the BMR lca and lca relo brackets soon. Everything looks pretty simple. Take the old bracket off, undo your shock to rearend, cut the parking brake bracket so the new lca brackets will fit... Anyway I was looking at the install instructions on bmr's site and I don't get what the point is in drilling the hole through the parking brake bracket. Anybody know this?

The only reason you would drill the hole is if you wanted to bolt the emergency brake bracket down to the rear end. Generally i just l;ike to throw a quick weld on it after I weld the brackets in just becasue it is easier.

I think it is only on 98-02 cars that had to cut the parking brake bracket. There was some weights to mess with 97 and under cars.

I just cut the bracket in half and kept the half that connects to the line where it was and bolted it through the existing hole on the outside of the relo bracket. I never even disconnected the brake line from it.

Weird. My Founders bolt-in LCA brackets bolted in, and no brake line brackets interfere with the LCA brackets.

Very odd.

Is there any way we can exclude the E Brake Bracket away from the install ?
I'm interested to know how the LT1 Setup goes ! ?

(I threw away my Driver side bracket :bump: )

I would torque them down to 80ft lbs which should the same torque spec you torqued your lower control arms to.
