wat u guy use to lube brake caliper slide pin and brake pad ?

Default wat u guy use to lube brake caliper slide pin and brake pad ?

Im plan doing rear brake pad change, on my 97 camaro z28. I have few question

Any special tool I need ?
what do u guy recomment to lube the caliper slide pin( I need something that last long time and not seize up, something water proof )
and for brake pad also, something that water proof and does not melt when pad get hot.

Just tell me what u guy recomment to use to finish the rear brake pad job, thx !

No special tools required except for maybe a large c-clamp and an old pad to compress the piston back down.

For the pin, I would recommend some high temp synthetic grease and for the pads, some disc brake quiet should do the trick.

Thank you, reason I ask special tool cause, I just did the mustang rear brake pad change,and it require some kind special tool, and it was pain in the butt ^^.

^ Yeah. It has a higher temperature tolerance. "Grease" will get too thin and run out, or so, when it gets hot enough.

usually good brake pads come with some disc brake quiet in the box

u use it on caliper slide pin and brake pad shim too ?

I'm using it on a road race car. I pitch the pad anti-sqeal stuff.
