Default LCA Install

Going to install some LCA's , Relocation Brackets, and PHB. What is the best way to install. Any tips or tricks I should know. Any help is appreciated

Pretty straight forward. Should be easy if you have a good basic tool set.

Which relocation brackets did you get? If you got the bolt on ones you'll need a grinder or saw to cut off part of the old bracket to put the new one on

Screw the saw idea lol. I might be doing my install tommarow morning of my new lca's and lca relocation brackets. Go to umi or bmr and look at there install pics on there site. Pretty much shows it all there.

So why would there install say to cut it off and re weld it back on?? Kinda need a saw or grinder for that

I had to saw part of the bracket off with a sawzall for my bmr bolt on relocators.

Same here. Took a saw to the bracket and slid the relocation bracket over the top. It is pretty easy to do. Be prepared to use some muscle on the stock LCA's. They will be torqued down pretty tight if they have never been off before.

What is the piece you have saw off? Mine bolted right up. Are they different on LT cars than LS car?

I know it needs to be cut off. I wasn't arguing that. I was just saying screw using a saw. A grinder is so much easier IMO

now im confused, you have to grind parts for relocation brackets to fit??
As far as the LCAs go, make sure you dont tighten the bolts if the rear axle is hanging mid-air. lift your car from the rear axle when your gonna tighten everything down. The same with the panhardbar.

The install went easier than I had expected. And yes I used a grinder also. Really tighten up the whole car and got rid of the clunking noise I had. Thanks for all the input

The LT1 folk don't have the stupid parking brake bracket the LS cars have so they got lucky and don't have to cut stuff ha ha.

I had to cut mine with UMI's bolt on relocation brackets.. used a grinder to do it, wasn't hard at all.
