Default good alignment specs for a street/strip car

I need to get my car aligned and would like to get a more performance oriented alignment than the stock specs. I also drag race the car on skinnies, so i don't want anything that will jeopardize stability on the drag strip. I also don't want to wear tires out every week. Anybody got suggestions for alignment specs that will work good for that? Thanks

Ryan

There are differant throughs on this

GM engineers devoted years of research into designing the F-BODY and
I as well as most if not all the ppl on this forman think they did a great job, I do not remenber the exact specs but I think OE specs are close to :
Front
camber + 0,50 with +/- .50
caster + 4.00 with +/- .50
toe + 1/6 in with +/- 1/16 in
Rear
camber 0.00 ???
toe + 1/16 in ???
thrust 0.00 +/- 0.13 ( I like + 0.03)

now as to car at OE heigth or lowered I think setting should be close to OE specs as possible for DD as tires are going to contact the road the same if car is 3" lowered OR 3" higher ( the SAI would change as the angle of the upper and lower control arms will change if lowered/ rased
now to add to this IF running AUTO-X or raceing a winding road, a little - camber and little - toe MAY help the handling of car

just my $ 0.02, I am not "A-SPERT" just because I am 3 times the age of the advage ppl on this board, but have aligned app 78,000 autos/ and still learning WHEN I stopped
Johnny
PS : as stated above I am not an expert just because I an 3 x the age ....it just means I have been around quite a time. PERIOD

Thanks for the replies.

I think after reading a few posts from strano and madman, I believe I am going to shoot for this:
Camber 0 to -.50
Caster as much as possible with .5 degrees less on driver side
Toe in 1/16" each side

I think GM did a great job designing these cars as well. However, I think they made compromises everywhere in order to please the masses. Which doesn't work well for all racing applications. So hopefully this will improve on the oem settings a little. Thanks
