Default Lower front end

Whats the safest method to lower the front of a 02 Z/28 vert. one inch ? Strano or control arms ?

Lowering springs are a good choice. Strano is a great choice if you choose springs.

Control arms (or you might mean a-arms?) don't usually lower anything unless you add a tall ball joint.

I did it by cutting my springs. Everyone warns against it, mostly out of what they have heard but not based on facts. I had zero negative side effects and did it almost 6 years ago. Just go slow and don't heat the springs up too much.

For reference, I cut off 1 whole coil which resulted in a drop of about 1.25".

If you're not looking to change out your springs and would like to maintain a factory ride, our 1-inch lowering A-Arms will lower the front approximately 1-inch while retaining full shock and suspension travel. The other options would be an adjustable coilover for the front or a lowering spring setup.
