Default 02 TA Rear Coil over Kit Benefit?

I have a 2002 TA WS6 with a Ford 9" and stock springs. I was wondering what the beenfit of going with a QA1 Double Adjustable coilover kit would be? I Know the shocks are awesome but as a whole is it better to have a coilover kit or seperate shock srping combination factory setup? Thanks

Hey Patsy. One big reason is the weight reduction afforded by running a physically lighter spring. I'm sure someone can enlighten us on the physics why, but I've also heard as you move the springs outboard and move the spring rate closer to the wheel rate, things work better.

With a drag shock like QA1s ride quality will be dramatically decreased, it will be jarring and loose at the same time. Drag shocks are made to do one thing, let weight transfer, they are not designed to properly control the spring/car on purpose, resulting in bad ride and terrible handling.

If you want something for ride quality or handling look into sport shocks like Bilstiens or Konis.
