Default Heater hose mod on stock suspension - worth doing?

Noob questions I'm sure but I searched and didnt come up with anything. Then again I could just suck at searching.

Stock, '02 Z28 suspension... if I do the heater hose mod on the rear, will it looks stupid? Just trying to reduce wheel gap a bit but I don't want the rear to be lower than the front.

It's a sticky in this forum, you can't miss the thread.

You should be fine though if you do it correctly.

I think it will look like you've got a dead body in the trunk.

I did the heater hose mod on my stock suspension before I lowered it, and there was still a ton of wheel gap. It's still going to sit about 1 inch lower than if you kept it like it is, but it's better than nothing! I say do it.

I measured my car before and after, the results were 3/4" from stock.
Car looked like a stink bug with the 19" c6 wheels back there so I cut 1/2 coil off the top of the rear spring now I sit level.

What do you mean you cut 1/2 coil?

Pretty sure he means he cut off half of a coil off the top spring, not literally cutting half of the entire coil

As for the heater hose mod on stock suspension, I don't really think it's worth it unless you have lowering springs and you're still not happy with the way it's sitting. Really does not drop the car that much at all from the stock height IMO.

Yea I figured it wasn't half of the entire coil, but I just had to ask, haha
