Can't get steering linkage back on after header install?
Installed my longtubes, and had to disconnect the steering linkage. Come time to put everything back together, and the linkage won't go back on. It looks like the angle is off, like the hole won't line up with the male end of the linkage. It will slide on maybe 1.5 inches but won't sit down at the bottom where it should be. Tried pounding it down with no luck.
Anything I can do to help me get it back on? Jack up control arms or something?

Without putting the top part in, make sure the bottom part slides on. If it wont, use a flathead screw driver and a hammer to open it up a bit. Also helps to unlock the steering column so you can rotate it a little - I always run a bungy cord from the steering wheel to the brake pedal so the wheel doesnt just spin out of control

I've been trying moving the wheels back and forth, but no luck. I didn't know you could adjust the top of the linkage, I'll have to go out and take a look. Are you saying just wiggle it or is there another bolt or something up top? I've tried wiggling and shimmying everything.
Could having jack stands under the A arms be screwing me up? Sorry if that's a dumb question lol. The front suspension is unloaded, and the stands are under the joint that connects them.

I mean there's the two bolts on the linkage one at the top and one at the bottom. Try moving the top portion that attatches to the steering wheel portion down and then try to move the bottom piece. I had the same issue when i did my headers at first. Use some wd40 to let it slide a little better
