Default UMI K member, arms, would you do this first?

My car was involved in an accident long before I owned it. I do not think it was repaired properly and do not think the unit body is straight. When I bolted in my subframe connectors, the passenger side holes were off and I had to enlarge the holes on the car to get that side to fit.
Would you think it's a good idea to find a good frame shop to pull her into correct geometry before attempting to install all front end parts?

Thanks

It would be a good idea regardless of what you plan to do to it.

Agree. I'd take it to the frame shop and have them fix it and do an alignment check. Tell them you'll be back when you have the k-member on for a final tune-up.

And thanks for choosing UMI!

Remove the subframe connectors before you take it in. Straighten it...and reinstall them.

At the frame shop right now. The damage is considerable. The whole car is off. Some measurements show more than 13mm. Going to take much $$$ to repair correctly. Be very careful of what you purchase out there... Never going to buy another vehicle on Ebay unless I can personally inspect in myself.

That kind of damage should have shown up on Carfax.

Carfax was Ok. Original owner did not go thru insurance and fixed it himself. Second owner who I bought car from claims he knew nothing of accident.
I have to take the pipe on this one.

That really sucks. I wonder if there aren't civil remedies for that kind of fraud? It would serve someone right to have to live with their mistake. You should have to sign a document...like a mileage statement...if there was damage done to the car over x amount of dollars. Something like that.
