intermediate shaft rattles

intermediate shaft rattles Looks like lots of play between steering rack and base of steering column. The shaft that connects it and has mini u joints has lots of lateral movement. Is that something that is common, and can be repaced?

Spray some white lithium grease into the splines, do this regualrly on my G6 and my friends Bonneville, fairly common issue. Hit the coupler above the pedals at bottom of the column.
