After installing the manual rack in the car, the steering angle of the intermediate shaft hit the headers, moved the rack all the way overto the left to clear headers. Then after that was settled there was so much play in the steering from the tappered tie rods- 1/2 bolts with no tapper, finally MWC made some tappered sleeve to take up the tapper in the knuckle was gettin exicted. Then the U joints in the rack have play in them after maybe 3k mile since I installed them. Just a giant POS. Direct bolt in my *** more money has been put in this rack then what I bought it new for. Now I have to get a new U joints and shaft now. GRRR.

Has anyone have this much trouble with these?

i just installed a bmr manual rack. i hope i dont have these problems. i will let you know in a few days how it goes.
