Default trouble with brake pad install?

So im in the process of changing brake pads.

StranoParts Rotors/HPS Hawk Pads combo is what i have had on. Just recently bought new HPS Hawk Pads from Ws6store.com

Well the problem im coming across is when trying to install the new pads, i cant get them to fit in properly without removing the chatter plates.

Pads look different but are the same part#'s on both sites.

Idk what to do here, can i run them without the chatter plates or no?

I just installed Hawk HPS pads in the rear on my RS -- no problems with the inserts -- fit fine -- be sure to push them in a bit. Make sure the part #s on the pads are correct, perhaps you go the wrong ones.

The fronts were the ones i was having problems with, but i went ahead and installed them without the chatter plates. The pads wouldnt fit with just 1 chatter plate and even without the chatter plates, it was still a nice snug fit for the pad. Once i put them in place, they werent loose or moving around.

The rears went on with no issues and kept the plates on. Maybe its a new better fitting design?

^ If you are having that issue, I would dig into the root cause, as this does not sound normal.
