ES End Link Questions

ES End Link Questions I bought ES 9.8118R end links for my SS. This is the one ES shows for the application.
The center section of the ES parts is 2 7/8 (per chart) while the end links I took out are ~ 2.3 ".
I have Sportline springs, is it possible the previous owner put in shorter end links to compensate for the lower ride height?
If so, should I get the ES kit closest in this measurement to what I took out?
