Default Lower ball joint help? Trick?

Struggling with the lower ball joint on my LT1 Camaro... the old one came right out, no problems. I measured the new ball joint and made sure it was the exact same, everything should be fine. I have tried pressing it in, pounding it in, using the jack underneath it to press it in, nothing is working...

It just gets about halfway in and won't go in any farther. Anyone have a good trick or some advise on how I can get this damn thing in?

the C-clamp type ball joint press did NOT work for me.....had to remove the arm and seek out a stand alone press........it was still a PITA

load the control arm with the jack and hit the control arm it will pop right in and take some fine grit sandpaper and clean it up a little bit
