Default Bilstein shocks installation help

I am trying to install my bilsteins and i am unsure where this silver cap thing goes. The directions i have are in german.

That big cap looks like a dust boot CAP... Some shocks come with a black sleeve that sits over the piston. My Bilsteins did not come with the dust boots or that cap for them either for that matter. I did reuse the dust boot from my De Carbons on them though...

Install them on your shock with a rubber mallet.

I did put the dust boots/sleeves on the new shocks.
