Default What shocks will complement my Sportlines.

Well the sportlines and stock shocks did decent for a while but I think its time they came out. I had the car go on a lift to get exhaust work done and now my the rear feels alot looser.

What I mean is going around corners if I hit a slight bump in the road it feels like the back of teh car flies up and throws around the back of the car like a rag doll.

What would be a good setup for this car, not looking to autocross as much as striaght line race.

I've got the Sportlines and am in need of new shocks too.

Not looking to AutoX, just a smoother ride and be able to drive aggressively when we cruise up the mountains.

I have Sportlines with HD's on my TA. I drive my car up in the mountains on the weekends and the HD's do a fine job. Unless you want to AutoX, normal HD's work fine.

Did the ride get a lot smoother with the HD's? How is it going through small bumps or holes in the road? The streets in my town suck!

Talk with Sam Strano for his recommendation http://www.stranoparts.com/

I got the revalved Bilsteins to match up with my G2 springs and had them valved for Road Racing applications.

I have Sport Lines and revalved Bilsteins. The rear of my car has about 3/4" before the axle hits the jounce bumper. With no suspension travel I don't think any shock would help my situation. Why does no one else mention this problem with the Sport Lines? My car also looks lower than the other cars I've seen with these springs. It measures between 26.0-26.5 to the top of the wheel well. I am in the process of deciding which springs to replace my Sport Lines, I can't take it any more with these Michigan roads!

I'm using the SLP Bilsteins. the rear retain the HD valving, but the fronts are a little softer. I'm very happy with them. www.stealthperf.com has the set for about $380 If yor call the order in tell Mike that David referred you.

If you like the lowered look, then read into the G2s. The drop is between the Prokit and Sportlines, plus they perform great and don't bottom out like the Eibachs do either.

I would like the G2 springs. Problem is I ordered them and they are on indefinate back order. They have been on back order for 4 months and LG said they had no idea when they would be in stock. I am considering H&R spring right now, I'm hoping they lower the car enough.

G2's would be awesome but are outta the question unless I come across a used set. I recently installed some DMS springs on my buddys '00 Z28 and they look pretty good and ride smooth. I might have to replace my Sportlines with a set of those.
