I am sure this issue is on here, but after searching for the past hour I can't find the answers I am looking for, so you have to forgive me if this is a common issue/ topic.
Anyway, car facts: 98 Trans Am with slotted rotors, hawk pads, stock calipers, 3400 stall, MT Drag radials. My brakes are not holding at the staging light when I load the car, so I don't load the stall as much, so I don't roll, etc.
After bleeding the brakes a few times, my braking issue still persists. I can't see it being a brake caliper issue as all four are fine. I unhooked the ABS and the issue still happened. I am starting to think I may have a brake master cylinder issue, but I am not sure.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Any aftermarket stall can push through the brakes at the track on an ET Street. How is the actual braking performance of the car?

The braking performance of the car seems to be fine when I drive around town and on the highway.

your brakes are fine. you dont need to brake torque the car so much that it pushes through the beams anyway. my car gets the best 60ft times launching at around 1500 rpm.

So question then, if I put in a bigger converter will it let me load up to a higher RPM before the brakes start to push?

Most likely yes it will.

^^^agree.
higher stall = more slippage = higher rpm before it pushes thru brakes.
also means higher flash rpm = higher convertor 'engagement'.

That's good to know as I was looking into a higher stall and possibly a trans lock. Thanks for the info.
