Default watts link?

What is a watts link? And why should I get one? Never heard of it before...

A Watt's link is a type of linkage in which the central moving point of the linkage is constrained to travel on an approximation to a straight line. In automobile suspensions it allows the axle of a vehicle to travel vertically while preventing sideways motion. AS to why you should get one... ever driven a Vette? A Watts link is a close as you'll get to one without converting to IRS.

I was thinking about a watts link myself at one point, but dismissed the idea as too costly for my purposes. Then again I was surprised to find out my lincoln town car came factory with a watts link, which explains a few things. Handles good for a big car.
