Default Tunnel mounted TA?

Ive been searching for a while and looking at the tunnel mounted torque arms. Does the cross brace that the arm bolts to require welding or drilling on the body to install or does it use exisiting bolt holes?

I don't know about other brands, but UMI's tunnel mounted TA requires no cutting, welding, or drilling. They advertise it as a 100% bolt on part.

From UMI's website :

This set-up requires no welding or drilling and can be installed with basic hand tools; this is a complete bolt-in design.

Just got off the phone with UMI and a tunnel mounted torque arm wouldn't work with my true duals so looks like its full length with a relocation bracket. Thanks everyone and UMI has excellent customer service will definitely be ordering soon.

Our torque arms that are considered tunnel mounted are all weld in. We've found that the thinner gauges metal where some tunnel mounted arms bolt to were never meant to see those kinds of forces, especially in higher torque cars. This is why ours weld-in to the subframes and displace the force through the chassis.

MWC has a tunnel mounted torque arm that has a crossmember designed specifically for the TSP and other type of dual exhausts. Driveshaft loop included at no extra cost and is a 100% bolt-in item.

Glad we could help out! Check out the link below for a ton of pictures of a TSP dual install with our full length arm and torque arm relocation kit. This set ups adds more clearance than the factory arm and works excellent.
