Default E brake headache

I have the Brake Motive rotor & pad kit & it looks great. The old rotors were so rusted they were falling apart & the e brake was stuck inside the back of the rotors. Any tips for correctly adjusting the e brake? It is touching something a tiny bit. Can I adjust it from the rear/inside with jacking it up w/ the tire on. I hear a noise when the wheel is turning. That design is a pita. Thanks for the help. Brian

You have to make two adjustments on either side of the car with the wheels, brakes, and rotors off the car:

Yes, its a pain - but the only time it needs to be done is when you switch rotors. (So, if the step isn't missed during the brake job, its not that big of a deal.)
