Arrow What brake rotors to use with C5 conversion?

just like the title states. What brake rotors are you running, or would you run on your car? Give me the pros and cons and anything else to go along with it please. Also did you just upgrade the fronts, or did you also get the matching set? (i.e. slotted rotors on all 4's or just up front) pics would be cool as well.

If there is a thread on this then point me in the right direction (via link) and i will read up on it. Didnt find the search to helpful in this instance. Thanks guys

I'm pretty sure you can go with any rotor designed for the C5 front.

My bad, I didn't know you were asking which exact kind.

This is kind of preference, but I'd go with the ATE premium one rotors. If it's something I usually don't know tons about, I go with Sam Strano's recommendation. He seems to like their design and quality for performance applications. I have a set for my Camaro that I haven't installed yet (stupid stuck rotor held me back for a while)

The strange thing is I think C5 front rotors are generally cheaper than fbody front rotors. I'll take it! They appear to be like 45-50 bucks for the ATE's a piece.

humm, i know that rears are the same, stock for stock. Fbodies have more rear bias for braking (i believe). I wouldnt mind going for a blank rotor, i would just have to change the fronts. Also thinking about slotted with dimples. idk yet.

Thanks for the reply z28bryan

btw this is my DD for all who will ask

I use Brembo blanks on my trackday car, they hold up very well.

I used the ATE rotors and the Proline (premium, coated) from Pep Boys. Hawk HPS pads on both, no discernible difference to me. Both were quite good.
