Default Suspension revamp and Forgestar shoes

So after some thought a few months ago, I decided that I was tired of my car only getting driven onto a trailer and off to run at the drag strip and nothing more. I missed being able to just drive the damn thing....
Once my daughter came along it was solidified that if I wanted to keep the car in our family for a while, I would need to make it safe enough that I would feel comfortable taking her cruising with me when shes old enough.
MT ET Street radials and skinnies, running stock brakes just wasn't going to cut it.

Old street/strip set-up:
BMR lowering springs
Bilstein SLP/HD shocks/struts
no front swaybar
stock rear swaybar
Weld prostars 15x10 and 15x4.5
disintegrated bumpstops
86K mi bushings all around

New stuff to handle and stop:
Forgestar F14 wheels in textured gunmetal 18x9.5 and 18x11
Kumho Ecsta XS 275/35 frnt and Hankook Ventus RS2 315/30 rear
'07 CTS-V 4 piston brake upgrade using 5th gen Camaro SS rotors
Hawk HPS pads
Braided brake lines from both Kore 3 and flynbyme
Refabbed front hubs
Strano adj rear sway bar and 35mm front
Strano springs
Koni 4/3 shocks/struts
Fays 2 Watts link
BMR 1" drop lower A-arms
BMR 1/2" strut spacers
New tire rod ends and ball joints
New rubber upper strut mounts
"softened" prothane bumpstops

She now handles like a dream and stops on a dime. I forgot just how much fun these car are to drive around corners on windy country roads.

Sick.
Why the shock spacer and the 1" lowering A-arms though?
Also, what do you mean by "softened" prothane bumpstops? Did you modify them? How do you like them, are they still pretty stiff?

I wanted the ride height to be perfect. Stranos tend to sit a bit high in the front, so i got lower a-arms and the spacers to get it right where I wanted it. It's at 26.75" all around now.

By softened I mean, I drilled them with varying depths ans varying hole sizes. They are stiff as hell w/out doing this. I'll try to get a pic of it to illustrate.

Ah ok, thats what I figured but I thought I would ask.
If I remember right, off the top of my head my car sits 26" front, 27" rear with strano springs.

I'm really thinking about getting lowering A-arms.

Nice, BTW. Wheels are ****.

Thanks fellas! I really enjoy driving her again. I need to find a g-meter to really see what she'll do.

And new rear rotors and pads are on their way too. The squealing of the old rotors is driving me crazy.
