Default how much to pay for c5 brake kit?

I have a guy trying to sell me an entire used c5 brake kit to mount on my fbody. It comes with rotors, calipers and spindles. How much should I be paying? He's asking 600$

check this out before you do that:

this kit is 730 bucks, and it comes with the Hawk HPS pads, so that is already a better deal

these days with the CTSV and Gen5 caliper swap why would anyone settle for a C5 "upgrade"?

especially when he has LS1 brakes anyways.

If it was an LT1 guy updating it would be different but at this point IMO he should just go for CTSV or 5th Gen setup

now i would agree with this, BUT, the CTS-V brakes only fit under some 17" wheels after extensive grinding, and still require a spacer most of the time. some people dont want to do that. but i actually have pieced the kit (CTS-V kit) together for cheaper then the C5 upgrade myself

Thanks for the info guys! There's no way in hell I'm shell out 600$ for that kit.....If he takes 400, I'll do it. It seems like that would actually be a decent deal and worth the little "upgrade"

C5 brake kits also have some trouble with some 17" wheels, most notably the TT2's. But the list of wheels it wont fit is much smaller than the CTS-V list.

Even at $400, I'd still wouldn't take it. I'd use that $400 towards a CTS-V kit.
