Default Pro kit and SLP Bilstein?

Are you guys referring to the SLP Bilstein as the shocks that came on the SLP SS packages? I have the Bilstein suspension on my 2000 SS and I want to lower it.

I have 18x9.5 Z06 wheels on all 4 with 275/35/ZR18 tires.

Will the pro kit work out with the shocks I have? Are there any other springs out there that will level out the car better than the pro kit? DMS? Hotchkis?

It should work, but I'm going to warn you, the swap can be difficult if the nut on the top of the strut is rusted. Mine were so rusted together that even after the nut is off, the whole thing is still frozen together. Pain in the ***. Had to get all new perches and strut mounts. oh well.

SLP Bilsteins are (in my view) better for higher-rate
and lowered springs than the Bilstein HD fronts. The
rears are the same P/N, SLP & HD. SLP ships them
with their Eibach combo which is higher than stock
rate, 3/4" drop. And the SLP Bilstein fronts are working
well against my Hotchkiss springs though these are a
slightly lower initial / higher final spring rate than Pro-Kit.

Nice avatar! Do you know what it means? I'm sure you do, but I'm just wondering!

Yep! It cancels all previous speed limits on the auto in Germany.

I live in Texas, and the car has lived it's "previous life" in Tx as well - so hopefully rust will not be an issue.

What are the differences between the DMS and Eibach pro kit springs?
