I want to lower my car!!! What Springs/Shocks?
I want to lower my car!!! What Springs/Shocks? i have a 98 z-28 with 17" silver 10-spokes. i want to lower the car, not alot like a sportline kit, i was looking at the Pro-kit mostly. i have NEW DeCarbon shock on all 4 corners. I have LCA's and a adj pan-hard rod. Can i stick with the shocks i have? and how well does a Pro-kit handle? thanks also if there is another kit out there that you think is better, tell me about it! thanks !

If you want to handle like a champ, get a pro kit. Hotchkis is your second option. They handle about as good as the pro kit but don't slam your car like the pro kit does. As for shocks, get the AGX's. They're nice and adjustable, not to mention about $85 each for the fronts. There you go ****.

LOL
i have the prokits and hd bilsteins. love the handling but sometimes i wish i could soften it up a lil bit such as when i have a car full of beeznitches. (or when its raining)
if i were to do it all again id get prokits and agx's. theres 3 votes for agx's and 2 for prokits. combine the two.

i love my prokit, with longtubes i scrape on some speed bumps. if u arent gonna mod ur car id go with some sportlines or u could even get away with mid-lengths.
lts - prokit
mids - sportline

Here are some pictures of my Prokit before and after. Sorry they are small, but I can email them to you if you want
I actually have QA1's on all four with the QA1 spring in front. So what you are seeing is just the rear Prokit springs. As far as the ride it is hard to tell because I can adjust it to ride like a Caddy or a go-cart with the shocks. But I have heard that they are stock like. I have long tube headers as well with a Spohn TA attached to tunnel brace. I had the rears in for about a week and decided to take them out. I couldn't get out of my driveway without scraping the front bumper but I do have a pretty steep driveway. It was bugging the crap out of me.
I found out that a gas charged shock such as the stock shock or Bilsteins will offer some ride height support to a spring. Going from the stock shocks to the QA1's I lost about 3/4" to 1/2" in height. So that is why I took them out and are selling them. They are new and the fronts were never installed. Let me know if you are interested I'd like to get rid of them soon.

your car looks good. im scared to drop mine to much because it seems like every drive way i go in is steep as hell and my car drags some now as it is. i want to lower about an inch. but it would be nice to put some better shocks on it as well. ill have to do some more research on the best combo for me. thanks for the pics.

but they did mention the Hotchkis and those are supposed to be only 1 " also, so maybe I'll get those. everyone keeps saying prokit, but aren't there different ones? I think one is 1.25" all around, the other is 1.5" in front, and 1.3" in rear...man, that would be awesome but these goodyear GS D3's are fat as a ****...

oh man, I'm a dumbass sometimes...I bet I've looked at Thunder racings site 2 dozen times over the last few days, and I've never noticed that the kit that lowers it 1.25 all around is for V6 cars!

I would like the BMR's. We lowered my friends with a prokit and it's too low. He is moving to Austin and the streets there suck. Any long term comments on the BMR's?

I have BMRs. I autox on em. they are great. not too low, but still preventing me from doin long tubes to be safe. car feels solid at high speeds, as in 70-90 mph turns. i need some new shocks tho...
