Default LCA Relocation Brackets with Stock Control Arms???

I was thinking of purchasing the BMR package that includes lowering springs, an adjustable panhard bar and lower control arm relocation brackets.. My question is, can I use the BMR relocation brackets with my stock control arms?

Yes, all the relocation brackets on the market will work with factory arms.

I hope that helps,

For what reason? Unless you are racing or need adjustments, just keep the stock ones in there.

If someone has stock LCAs with the relo brackets and it results in no wheel hop, then what other benefit would a tubular aftermarket control arm do for you?

Just raising the question.. someone might know something I don't know and I might change my mind.

You can use them with the stock lower control arms. And, to be honest, you'll still get the benefit from the part. Getting rid of the rubber bushing arms may be a good idea for the car at some point down the road, but the car will still like the increased lower control arm angle.

If you want to run 28" slicks you'll need an adjustable LCA to center the wheel.

Like I said above.. what is the point of getting them assuming you aren't in need of adjustments?

I have them.. but for a specific reason. My UE decoupled torque arm needs the rear end to stay centered and not toe left or right, so I have rod/rod ends. I was racing on my stock LCAs with the stock rubber bushings and they held up awesome over the years.

That's a good question. If you're just looking to eliminate wheelhop, then the relocation brackets might be all you need. However, you're still dealing with the stamped steel arms and soft rubber bushings. These are less effective at transferring the power into the chassis and the bushings will compress under load. That being said, my friend has consistently pulled low 1.6s and high 1.5 60ft times with factory arms on relocation brackets...it was years ago and on ET Streets, but still impressive. As soon as he added power, the car needed lower control arms.

That is a good point. I would imagine the high power and traction on the lines around 600hp or above that you'd be putting more on the bushings.

So these are the cases where the LCA's make sense so far in my opinion:
-If you need to adjust the rear end forward or backward
-If you are making BIG power with lots of traction
-If you have decoupled style torque arm
-If you still have wheel hop after doing everything else

For everyone else, I still think the cons outweigh the pros.
