Default Replacing Tie Rods

Has anyone every replaced the tie rods on a late model F-body?
I have a 2001 Z28 and I need to replace my tie rods.

Are there any special tools needed and is this something I can do myself?

I've replaced tie rods before on older cars....although, times have changed and this newer cars are completely different.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Al

If you've replaced them before, you should have no problem now.

Remember to count the turns so that you can get toe close. This will prevent you from chewing up your tires on the way to get an alignment.

But you knew that ....
