Default v6 firebird upgraded to T/A swaybars-wow

I have a base v6 firebird, which I already thought handled decently. I upgraded to Trans Am size sway bars and energy suspension bushing and link ends.

Wow! the whole ride really stiffened up. I guess I didn't expect such a noticable change-not just side to side, but the whole ride feels a lot stiffer....

front went from 26mm to 32mm
back 16mm to 19mm

if I recall correctly.

Glad to hear! I'm sure the stock endlinks were reduced to nothing by now. I sure miss my daily V6 Firebird.

Im going to be replacing my ws6 bars with strano hollows. I just ordered them but theyre backordered.

I know ill feel a difference in handling, and itll get rid of the annoying squeak in my suspension.

It really feels like it could benefit from more tire. So sometime in May I will put the Ruff Racing 280s on it; with 275 35 18 rear and 245 40 18 fronts

Should imcrentally increase the G's even more

come on summer!

Do yourself a favor and run 275s all around, you will have much more grip and way better (neutral) balance. If you want even more performance look into shocks, they will make the biggest difference.

Thanks for the advise... shocks look brand new, but i can't see the brand because of the way they are installed. They are painted red. I doubt if they are high performance though...the guy before me bought Arizonian Tires, so he wasn't worried about performance.

The tires I have are new, but when it is time to replace, I will think about the 275s all around. The wheels are 18x9.5 or 10 in the back and 18x9 (think it the front. Got them used from another guy. tires are Kuhmo Ventus sport K104 97Y. Very few miles on them.

Thanks!
