Spacers on front sway bar?

Spacers on front sway bar? I've heard of people using spacers to lower the front sway bar in 4th gens. I need to do this for clearance and have a couple questions. Is there any limit to how thick of a spacer I could run? I'm thinking I would need a 1-2" spacer, any problem with this as far as clearance with the tie rods and such? Also, would I need different end links?
