Default Drag Bag Question

I'm installing bags in my fbody for the wrong reason: bump stop substitute! My question is around the lower isolator piece, the ring at the bottom. Do I trim it to make it sit flush to the axle mount, or is it ok to just sit in there? It just seems like it could flop around in there since it's not the size of the smaller coil... What did y'all fbody users do?

No one? Alright, well I guess I'll take those spacer things out... looks like they're kind of supposed to act like the spring isolators maybe. I guess I can just go back and add them if I bottom out. Maybe I'll come back and add a "results" post, since I can't find anything on these for f-bodys.

And for anyone interested, that progress shot was, maybe 15 minutes after opening the box! I just pulled the springs out and slid those bad boys in from the top, no problem
