Default Final Stance

So, I finally got my car's stance the way I wanted it. I installed Strano springs, then UMI 1" lowering A-arms to drop the front a little more. The a-arms slammed it, so I raised it back up 7/16" by shimming the lower shock mount. A bit expensive but I wasn't going to be satisfied until I got it right.

Are those all before shots?
Still looks like a normal and sensible ride height.

Those are after pics - before it sat on 4x4 truck suspension. From the factory it came with 16" rims, and the wheel gap was much bigger than even this if you can believe it. I don't know what GM was thinking. Check it out:

How easy/how long did the a-arm install take?

Thinking about picking them up as well.

You might just have had shorter tires making the fender gap worse than stock.

I purposes have used tires 26" or slightly taller just to fill up the gap.

The a-arms took me pretty much a whole day to install. I had a hard time getting the fwd bolts out at first, until I learned the trick to it. I also had a tie rod end start spinning on me and had to replace it. Of course, the nut to it was stuck solid. I could probably do it again in half the time.

Looks good, but when did UMI come out with a 1" drop A-arms...?
BMR is the one I know that has a 1" drop A-arms.

If they truly are 1" lowering A-arms, with the Strano springs and 7/16" shim, that comes out to a 1.7625 drop. Yet it still looks like only a modest drop?

What size tire are you running? It looks like it dropped about an inch. That's a lot of money for an inch
