what are you gonna use the car for?
Power level?
Transmission type?
rear end type?

this would help you get a better answer.

I'd do the trans mount. The tunnel mounts make more noise and limit your exhaust options.

If you are worried about your trans tailshaft, you can get a trans relo crossmember that allows for trans mounted TAs to work. It also beefs up the rear trans mount. That's costly though.

For a street car a long style T/A is best. A short arm will cause brake hop under hard braking because of the short leverage point.

The relocation crossmember allows you to change your I/C which helps when you launch. You can move it all the way up and not have any adverse effects.

I have the UMI long T/A with the relocation crossmember and I love it.

I had zero braking issues.

I'm not saying this to sell my TA either.. I'm saying this as my experience with a short TA.

I drove it for 2 months and would have never known it was a short arm unless I knew it was there.

With what you are trying to do I would run a full length torque arm along with a torque arm relocation crossmember. Here are the exact parts I would recommend:

BMR full length adjustable torque arm (TA001)

BMR T56 torque arm relocation crossmember (TCC006)

Definitely stay away from the short style torque arms because they will induce brake hop under very hard braking and that is not going to be something you are going to want to mess with while autocrossing.

If you have any questions or if there is something we can help you out with let us know.

Hello, I definitely recommend a longer transmission mounted torque arm if you are looking to do some autoxing. The relocation kits are a great idea as well but I feel you could get away with out it and could always add it at a later date (this keeps the cost down)

If you are interested in some pricing I can point in the direction of a stocking UMI dealer with great pricing.

Also if you have any questions we are happy to help.

Thanks!
Ryan
