Default Are all ceramic pads the same?

I'm about to get some ceramic pads with my new blank brembos. I see that tirerack carries two brands. Satisfied Pro Ceramic Pads for $52.00 and Akebono ProACT Ceramic Pads for $71.00. Napa also has ceramic pads for $72.49. Pepboys has ceramic pads also, but don't know how much. Are there any differences between all those brands?

Just because they are ceramic does not mean "same". Carbotech Panther Plus pads are a ceramic compound, they are nearly $150 a set and will stop your car from 135+ mph with no fade. But, they destroy rotors and the dust finally becomes permanant. This is not anything like the pads that you are looking at. They will stop decent (never tried either brand, so I can't offer more than that) and probably will dust about like stock. So, yes, there are differences. Unfortunately, I can't say what they are in this case.

I though ceramics dust very little. The main reason I want them is because of the dusting.

I have the Satisfied Metalazer Pro Ceramic. I bought them from Lappens (Auto parts chain in New England). I dont remember how much I paid though. They work decent and dont dust much.

When I said "dust about like stock", I meant in relation to my "evil pads of death" that destroy rims. They may dust less than stock, some do, some don't.

After the pads get done with the rotors, they start on their second course.. the rims!

There is so much rotor material imbedded in my rims, when I put them back on after the winter (running snow tires) they had started to develop a coating of orange rust. The wheels are aluminum. That is a lot of rotor shavings.
