Default Repeating clunking noise under mild-hard acceleration

I recently picked up a 98 camaro z28, moser 12 bolt(70k on it), otherwise all stock w/150k miles..

I've noticed a clunking noise that repeats(clunk clunk clunk clunk) but not under light throttle, only mild to hard acceleration. It doesn't get faster with RPMs. It feels like it's coming from the trans tunnel area.

I'm thinking U-joints, or trans mount..

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

What kind of shape is the front mount for the torque arm in?

How many inches of the driveshaft yolk are sticking out of the trans? Measure like the photo below (not from an F-Body).

I think I have the same issue, too much sticking out. My sound is noticeable at lower RPMs, but goes away at higher ones or after goosing the throttle...

I'm betting it's the torque arm. It's mounted to the transmission and that top bolt that holds the bracket gets loose or comes out completely causing the TA to slap the tunnel.
