Default Convert 3 channel 10 bolt to 4 channel by swapping backing plates?

2000 M6 Z-28.

My four channel 10 bolt housing is bent, 3 channels are much easier to find. Can I swap on my backing plates with the sensors and use one? Will it cause other problems, axle length etc? Will my torsen diff bolt into the 3 channel?

Yes, you can use a 3 channel no problem. You can even leave the sensor gear on the posi, it wont hurt a thing. You will need to plug the hole in the top of the diff, so try to get a sensor with the housing. Put your backing plates on, run you wires to the sensors, and use your axles and done!
