Default Emergency Brake installation ?

Can anyone direct me to a thread that shows how to install a new emergency brake ? I have a 2001 SS camaro 6speed. ABS INOP lights are on as well.

What part of the mechanism needs to be replaced and what is the problem you have. Is the BRAKE light on?

Sorry for the delayed response. The ABS INOP, ASR OFF and BRAKE lights are all on. I replaced the emergency brake lines but the actual handle will not grab. I can pull it all the way up and down but I get nothing. The lights were on before the e-brake went. Any ideas?

The mechanism needs to be adjusted. This has to be done on both sides with the brakes off and the rotors removable. (The adjusting star wheels are behind each rotor.) The mechanism should be tight at 3-5 clicks.

This is a problem with the braking system. The BRAKE light is supposed to signify an unsafe condition. You will need to get the ABS system scanned to gather the codes and zero in on the problem. (This requires a specialized or high-end scanner.)
