tubular spindles?
does anyone make a set of these? i bought the whole BMR front shibangabang upper, lower and k member but i feel as if i should replace these with better ones. also i think one is bent so that would also be a reason i'd like to upgrade.

If you are going to be driving the car on the street at all I would highly recommend staying away from the aftermarket spindles that are available. They are pretty much all made for drag racing and won't stand up to the abuse of daily driving and street use. I think finding some OEM ones that are in good condition would really be your best bet.

if you looking to save weight spindles are a good place. You dont have to run drag brakes with them you just can't bolt stock LS1 brake parts on them. All off them I know of dont use the oem bolt on sealed wheel bearing hub. And use older style inner/outer wheel bearing you manual grease, that fits over the spindle shaft. And the rotor slides over them with a center castle nut, under the dust cap holding everything on. I've owned 2 sets of tubular spindles, raced and street dove on them. Racecraft and burkhart, both use 3rd gen brakes. (so you could get something like the bigger 13/14inch willwood brake kit, better then stock) Brake kits for these spindles is alot less money then 4th gen kits, about half the price so that a big thing. TRZ also makes a set, not sure of they have them instock yet. AJE has made a few but not sure if they have them in stock, or made any in a few years? pa racing makes a set using 1st gen brakes, same as the MWC. MWC do not work with stock upper and lower Aarms, need yo use theres. Setup is very light, dosn't use a stock sealed upper or lower ball joint. I dont like my burkhart kit, or there service so wouldn't recommend them. Had trouble with them and the front wheels coming loose and flexing. It was dangerous.I had to cut some parts, grind on them, and do a lot of welding to fix it. My racecraft set was fine, they only sell them with a 2inch drop. They looked very strong, more then stock I bet, Ive seen alot of stock spindles bent. They also have a lighter style, but I wouldn't street drive them. Going to strange drag brakes and spindles saved 50pounds.

We do make aftermarket spindles and they do require 3rd gen brakes. We are on the third generation of the spindle design and have not had any issues with them at all. The axle is now a welded assembly. My car slammed down from a few very hard wheelies and we did not tweak the spindles, we did tweak the oil pan.
Having said that. I would not really recommend them, or any tubular spindle on a street car. I have not seen a track with potholes like I saw this weekend.
