Default Broken torque arm

I broke the driveshaft in half on my 2000 trans am when I put the new driveshaft and took it for a ride the car vibrates I lifted it and saw that the torque arm is cracked from the bottom and the top were it bolts to the rearend. Can this be the problem? The vibration gets worse on higher gears.

That could definitely be you problem because the torque arm is going to determine what your pinion angle is and if the torque arm is broke than I am sure your pinion angle is all screwed up. You need to definitely replace the broken torque arm.
