major torque arm problem...

major torque arm problem...
I thought the bushing went out. Drove it very easily for a couple days cause i didnt have tjme to get under it. Well today i did and its not the bushing, its already after market. The top bolt holding the clam shell broke off in the tranny. Wtf do i do now?
I get a company truck Wednesday but i gota drive it till then.

Better yet... get a complete MWC adjustable torque arm package that includes a crossmember for not much more than just a "relocation" setup. Your stock torque arm is prone for failure anyway and the ones we manufacture will help the car with weight transfer and help keep you hooked up. Give us a call and we will be glad to help you out!

Those relocation cross members look great but i dont see why they are so expensive. i mean founders makes a whole TQ arm for less then that little relocation cross member

The relocation crossmember does nothing other than move the torque arm mount off of the transmission tailshaft. By doing this they make the torque arm function better and eliminate the possibility of breaking the tailshaft or clamshell bracket.

Relocation works with the stock torque arm. Make sure you get the "stock" torque arm bushing.

This product doesn't change geometry but it does grab the torque arm nose from the other side and takes the transmission mount out of the equation.

They are decent parts for their price. Not going to lie, there are a few of their parts I quite like. Such as the 3rd gen upper strut mounts and the billet caliper brackets. However, what I am saying is there are big differences in our manufacturing processes which cause large price differences. If we priced our parts as cheap as they do, we would go out of business quickly. Simply due to our overhead and manufacturing infrastructure. We definitely would have to change some things in the way we operate in order to stay alive.

UMI and BMR are like Snap-on, Mac, or Matco. Top of the line tools. Founders is like Kobalt or HarborFreight... pretty good tools with a lifetime warranty so you can take them back when they break.

be aware with dropping the transmission if it's a T56 you run the risk of breaking the slave cylinder hydraulic line or getting air into the clutch hydraulic system and having clutch problems later.

I would beg to differ on this. I would put our fit, finish, and more important performance up against any other suspension parts manufacturer. Just a couple examples are some of the competitions lca brackets cut 1/2" mounting holes and supply a 3/8" bolt where we make our holes 12.07 mm for factory sized 12mm bolt. Second example would be our mounting brackets on our torque arm. Factory torque arm mounting holes to axle are very large measuring .600" or 15.24mm for a 14mm bolt. Most of our competitors copy that dimension but we go a step further to eliminate any chance of clunking, we make ours 14.09mm for a true proper bolt fit. These are just a couple examples of what sets us apart. It does make it harder to design and build parts this way but one thing I can't stand is sloppy built parts.
