Default Viking or QA1 drag coilovers

I was looking in to some drag coilovers for the front and rear for my Camaro. anyone have any suggestions on which? I want real world experience with them if possible. or maybe another brand? I currently have full umi rear suspension. no front suspension yet.

I'd hit up Midwest chassis and see what they have to say, they seem to have extensive experience with those brands.

The Viking shocks are pretty much the best bang for the buck right now in a bolt-in adjustable shock for the f-body. QA1 is ok, but there are known quality issues, price is higher, and the warranty isn't as good. One thing about the Viking shocks is they carry an industry best 2 year warranty... hard to beat.

Give us a call and we can go over all the options for you. There are also a few good things to know about front suspension components if you are planning on upgrades there as well, and some of it has to do with the shocks.

As always MWC has the guaranteed best prices and expert tech help to go along with your purchases!

For once I'll agree with these guys lol. Yes, we have started recommending Vikings more and more lately. I was a little skeptical about them at first being as they are a double adjustable for the price of most other single adjustables. But after actually handling a set and seeing the finish and detail on them and how solid and positive the adjustment ***** felt, I was sold on them. Not to downplay the QA1's at all, but for the price Vikings are a very good option

I was looking at them too and was concerned as far as vendor recommendations go. After seeing all you guys post positive reviews, im feeling alot safer about dropping the cash on their product as well. You cant beat the warranty.

Plus they're made "locally" to me, just south of Minneapolis.

Viking over QA1. Now vs Strange or AFCO... That's where you need to weigh the pros and cons.

We have extensive experience with Viking and QA1 also. Truth is, the competition between the two brands have made both brands better and better. The QA1 leaking and poor quality is long gone and their quality is very good now. We usually sell Viking when someone wants DA as the price is better. Some guys choose the QA1 doubles just to keep their car on a consistent brand, even at the slightly higher price. To save a few bucks you can always choose the QA1 singles at a slight decrease in tuneability. QA1 also has the R series with a heavy compression curve for cars that unload the front and need to set down properly.

UMI is also a top Afco dealer. We have the experience to interpret chassis data and can recommend (and put you in contact with Afco engineers) the proper shock when shaft speeds and forces exceed what is controllable by the standard Viking and QA1's. We aren't a Strange dealer but often give advice on their product as well.

Great decision! You will get the best deal and the tuning advice as well after the sale. Call the shop during normal business hours(8-5 CST m-f) and we will be glad to assist in any way. 309-382-6252

Purchased a set of the Viking front coilovers with 300lb springs and over stock suspension, it is a night and day difference. With double adj and being backed by a warranty like that you can't go wrong. Weight transfer is amazing and my wheel spin in first is now gone.

Def reccomend them
