Default Strano rear swaybar

I recently ordered front and rear strano sway bars but i'm not sure if i installed the rear sway bar correctly. Ive searched around but I'm not really sure still. I had no problem with the front sway bar but it just looks like the rear one hangs down really low. The car is on stock springs and stock shocks. Any help is appreciated.

That is correct. Next step ditch the junk shocks when funds allow and get a good set from sam.

Ah okay I wasn't sure if it was suppose to hang that low. I already have front koni strs and strano springs sitting around just need the rears. Would it be okay to install them and just leave the stock rear shocks until they ship out?

Yeah. Sam made the rear bushings taller to accommodate bolting on a watts link without having to use spacers on the sway bar brackets. If you don't want it to be that low you could swap the bushings to a standard set for energy or something to make the space up.

This will get your bar back up higher.
Energy Suspension #9-5158G, about $16 for the set, or $21 shipped.

Weird, mine seems closer to stock. I torqued the brackets to stock spec, was I not supposed to? I did tighten the endlinks as Sam suggested though.

My strano bar does not hang that low. The bar is almost even with the pumpkin. Did you torque everything with suspension loaded?

That because you car is lowered, which pivots the center area on the sway-bar up higher.

it's pretty clear to me (anyway), because I have replaced my rear sway bar and with it did new bushings that beyond any shadow of a doubt it is as described above, the bushings are TALLER pivoting the center down more then normal.

I plan on lowering it with strano springs. I have them sitting in garage just waiting on shocks but that should bring it up a little correct?

The reason for Sam bar to hang lower is because it is setup out of the box for the addition of a watts link.

Yeah, I was wondering what ever was done about the sway-bar munt U-bolts being borderline to short when using the Fays2 watts-links spacers.
IMO, that was a good solution.

It seems there's two items at play here: Sam's bushings are a bit longer to accept the Watts-link and the OP's car is at stock ride height.

I presume lowering would help move the bar up in relation to the pumpkin. If you're not going to run a Watts-link, is there any harm in using the energy suspension bushings on a lowered application?

I don't see how there could be any issue with using the shorter ES bushings, Strano's rear bar was using shorter bushing before without any issues. Either way unless he's have a ground clearance issue with the center of the sway-bar being lower he'll be fine with the taller bushings.
