Default problems after new pads and rotors!

Just installed new pads and rotors from brakemotive. Now the steering wheel shakes violently at highway speed. It also sounds like the brakes are engaged constantly. What did I screw up?

did you press the pistons in completely before installing the new rotors and pads? if not the pads could be sitting unevenly and dragging (the caliper should slight over the new pads without any force). Did you grease the slide pins properly? ungreased pins could be frozen up and dragging creating warped rotors.

then there is always the possibility the new rotors where warped to start with.

I bet it's the slide pins, I had done trouble with them on pretty much every caliper. Im going to go and get new ones all around, and clean the slider housings tomorrow.

I replaced the slider pins and greased them. The front ls1 brakes work perfectly, but the rear lt1 brakes are dragging. Is there a special procedure for lt1 rears?

LT1 rear brakes are a PITA just so you know.

Check the e brake tension to see if its too tight, you may fix it by pulling and releasing your e brake a few times. I had nothing but problems with my LT1 e Brakes on my old car, even went as far as to buy new calipers and still couldn't get it correct.

It's looking that way! My new rotor is just barely touching the inside of the caliper backing plate. I've heard this is fairly common on early axles.
It looks like the drivers side already ground itself down years ago with my old brake rotor, or possibly a professional (it just looks like a very clean job). I'm just going to clearance the problem spot a bit with a dremel.

Since it's like that on one side, I might as well make it equal.

I'll start buying up ls1 rear brake parts this summer.
