I'm changing the shocks out on my Formula and decided it would probably be good to change out the strut mounts at the same time... so I ordered a set of MEVOTECH upper mounts from Rock Auto...

The part numbers I ordered were:

MP902947 - Front Left
MP902948 - Front Right

This morning I got the rest of the parts in and started to put together the front struts... and that's when I realized something was definitely wrong.

Take a look at the part on the right (passenger side mount), and look at which way the spring guide would need the spring to turn in order to fit.

Obviously that one's not gonna work... can someone recommend the correct parts? I would have ordered the ACDELCO part, but it's like $40 more for a pair.

This is why I always recommend Moog... they fit and don't break the bank.

K6516 and K6517

Don't forget the isolator, K6573 (you can probably reuse your old ones)

Cool, thanks man... I'd already bought the isolators (the ones on my car are the factory parts... I think it's time to say goodbye to them). I'll order a set of the Moog parts and return these Mevotech ones.

I'm not even sure how they sell that passenger side mount. That's a pretty big screw up.
