Default F-Body Suspension Companies?

Can I get a list of manufactures or websites that supply
suspension upgrades for our vehicles. Specifically a (2002 Camaro
Z28 Camaro 0 4L60E). Looking to lower the car very soon, components
I'm looking for are - Adj. Torque Arm, Adj. Lower Control Arms & Relocation Brackets, K-Member, Adj. Panhard Bar, Bilstein Shocks, Front/Rear Swaybar, Lowering Springs (1.25" F/R), Bolt-On Subframe Connectors. I would love
to see some pictures of the installations as well as opinions on the different
companies that you are using. Application is for road racing. Thanks.

My vote is for strano.

http://www.stranoparts.com/

He gives great advice, and has some awesome parts himself. (his springs are awesome, and he has great sway bars that are hollow!)

Thank you for the quick responses! UMI do you guys have any deals
going on or coming up? You guys have really everything I'm looking for.
What do you recommend for when I lower my car? Thanks.

Strano's a sponsor here, and quite a few people use his products, and advise.

If you're really serious about improving the handling I go with Koni SA sport shocks, instead of the Bilsteins.

Now is the time to buy Konis. They are on sale.

Just got the Koni Handling package from BMR.

Comes with 1.25" lowering springs, 550/160lbs rates, 35/25mm hollow sway bars, and Koni Yellow shocks.

Strano pioneered the Koni handling packages and his has a 550/150lbs rate springs, 35/22 hollow bars, and the same Koni shocks. It costs a little more and doesn't lower down quite the same as BMR, but you get his knowledge with the package.

Other options in the same price range are the Viking Double Adjustable Coilovers. They can be had with a number of spring options and apparently work pretty well.

Founders has good prices for the LCA brackets, LCAs, and Panhard bar (what I have). I used BMR for the torque arm and transmission cross-member.

UMI has roto-joints for the LCAs, which I would recommend over poly or rod ends. Founders has something called the 3-piece poly joint, and that's what I'm using. It's similar.

Some will say you don't need all that - just springs and shocks. That's probably true. But I can tune my suspension to launch or to handle based on where I set my LCA relo brackets. The Torque Arm made sense due to my power output, and the Panhard bar is required if you do 315s like me to re-center the rearend. The LCAs are non-adjustable, but provide more clearance for more tires.

I don't have subframe connectors as I'm not convinced they do anything, but they do add another jacking point to the car, so they might be useful if for nothing else than that.

I do like the Koni shocks more than any other brand out there, race proven
since the late 50's so can't argue with you there.haha. Just sooo damn expensive. Thanks for the link!!

I'm going to look into this Koni package. I want to do this once, so I might as well
break up with the girlfriend and go all out. This road course has some very tight turns
so I need it to handle like a dream. Thanks for all the information.

I went with BMR and couldn't be any happier.... I didn't need shocks, as I already had Bilstein Shocks. Went with their Springs and Adjustable PHB. Top Notch Customer Service that Offered a Military Discount!!

Yeah I bought a bunch of stuff from strano. Got his springs, konis, some stainless brake lines... and I called him and he assisted me with installing my springs/shocks properly, and gave me advice on new upgrades I am looking into. He will tell you what you want for what you desire to do with your car

You can look at those other companies, but it's really best to deal with the originals in the market. Give us a call if you want the best parts and service in the industry

Just did the BMR/Koni package last weekend. It was a chunk of change but with the sale it wasn't that much more than Bilsteins.

In regards to an aftermarket K-member and road racing, read this:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/road-raci...-your-car.html

As for brands: UMI and BMR are both popular and make quality parts, and offer all the parts you're looking for. But there are other companies as well. Spohn, J&M, S&W, Edelbrock, Hotchkis...

I would phone Sam Strano, he is a great guy to learn from, and he will guide you to what your car needs, not goodies it does not.

Since you are looking for handling, you may also want to look into a Watts Link... I bought mine from him, along with Koni SAs and his hollow sways.

I did the BMR Kmember and lower control arms everything bolted up very easy. Now if I can get my engine wired up I can take it out to see how she handles!!!
