Question Rear "creek" Forward and Back

Rear end is creeking and making some other noises as well. My first guess is that my LCA's are bad. When I back out of my driveway every morning, I hear a mix of a clunk and a creek. Then when I pull forward to start my drive to work, it does it again. The noise does not come up when I am driving at 3am with no traffic, but in stop and go it starts to "creek" and "clunk". And in REALLY bad traffic moving at very low speeds, you and even hear a clicking. Moving at 5 to 10 MPH- Click click click click....

I put the car on the lift and they "seem" solid. But I know things are not always as they seem.

What do you guys recommend I do from here? Thanks.

LCAs are easy to drop and check the bushings in. Start there. Do one at a time.

Also check the panhard.

Check the sway bar bushings too.

Clicking could be a U joint. My Trailblazer was doing that a year ago.

If you have poly sway bar body mount bushings, grease those, and look at all other bushings, especially poly ones.

How old are your shocks and which ones? Check to see if your rear bump stops are intact.

Clicking could be peeling chrome off your wheels that rubs, and check your brake pads.

I'd say u joints. If you have a grease zerk on the joint shoot some grease in. If the noise goes away, change your joints.

I know the shocks in the back are only 6 months old. They were ACdelco factory replacements. I didn't go with the mega-death shocks because I just bought the car and was low on money at that time. Other than that, everything else in the rear is stock. So what we start with at the factory is what I am working with now. Now let me make sure I got this right.

1. check the panhard
2. check sway bar bushings
3. Check LCA's
4. Check rear bump stops
5. check u-joints

Sounds about right?

Basically anything that moves, check it

Could also be the upper spring seat or perch.
