Talking BMR Suspension Releases Fourth Gen GM F-Body Body Mount Watts Link - WL002

Fourth Gen GM F-Body Body Mount Watts Link
WL002

Eliminate lateral differential housing movement and improve the handling of your Fourth-Gen F-body with a Body-Mounted Watts Link from BMR Suspension. Stock Panhard bars allow for some lateral movement, while Watts links eliminate all side-to-side movement. Manufactured from heavy-duty 1 5/8-inch DOM steel tubing and 3/16-inch laser-cut steel plate, BMR’s Watts link is the ultimate in strength. The BMR Body Mount Watts Link (WL002) features a fabricated center pivot with a greasable Delrin bushing for smooth, bind-free movement. The links are built from heavy-duty aluminum with left and right hand threaded 5/8-inch rod ends for easy on-car adjustability. Every mounting point in BMR’s Watts link is double sheer, while other companies take the easy route, sacrificing strength with single sheer mounts. The WL002 is 100-percent bolt-in and requires no cutting or modifying of the fourth-Gen chassis. BMR Suspension designed the WL002 to work well for street performance and handling applications. Available in black hammertone and red powdercoat for long-lasting good looks. Installation time is 3-4 hours. Proudly made in the U.S.A.

Looked at the PDF installation instructions, seems simple. I have 3 complete rearends(GM 7.5/7.625) in 3.23,3.73,4.56 that I interchange depending upon my mood and planned activities for the year, doesn't appear that the WL002 would complicate that. Are there any negatives with the WL002 for occasional drag strip use. Car is a 1998 Z with stock horsepower(nothing more planned as it's a travelling car too),Yank SS3600 convertor,QA1 rear double adjustable shocks.

The only negative to using a watts link on a drag racing application is just the obvious added weight over a standard panhard bar setup. Otherwise, there is no real downfall to it

Stainless Works used my car for prototyping their f-bod exhaust system in 2002. I'm gonna check the clearance in back of the rearend as it's not a stock system.

I would love to see some reviews from actual customers, preferably from autocross enthusiasts, or magazines, etc. who have experience with other Watts Links. Back to back compare and contrast of this Watts Link to the Fays2 and Midwest Chassis versions would be awesome -- just like the tire companies do at the track for magazines. The proof is in the pudding.

I would love to see this as well. This may be a project I get our marketing director on. I know we are already being blown up with pre-orders on this kit for the 05+ Mustang. Those guys are very picky about their watts-link systems and designs, and have gotten very excited about ours. Their seems to be a larger percentage of the Mustang community who is primarily concerned with handling versus the f-body world. I know our parts have been being rigorously tested on road courses and auto cross events on that end for years. I would love to start getting more of our stuff on serious handling cars and start pushing these parts

We have quite a few of these watts links out there, I will see if I can get some customers to throw up some reviews.

It is the vehicle that the company was started on so we definitely can't forget about it.
