Need advice with my rear brake lines
I have a 00 Camaro Z28 with TCS and ABS, and need to replace my two rear brake lines because of rust.
I want to replace the whole line (From ABS module, to the rear of the car)
I understand that I cannot buy a whole line set from the dealer. Can I just run new hardline from the ABS Module all the way to the rear of the car.
Basically, Is the braided section at the ABS module crucial or can I just run straight steel/copper line from the autoparts store?
Thanks

Braided lines are usually used for the need for flexing, as opposed to hard lines, so you should use the same.

i redid my rear brakelines last summer and just ordered 25' of stainless line and bent it up myself (had a small tube bender at home) and then brought it to a shop to get flared. worked like a charm and i used the stock lines to use as a template to get the bends right. 25' did from the abs module to the axle and from the T on the axle out to where the flex lines went to the caliper. also replaced the rubber factory lines with russel stainless braided pieces
