Default Adjustable Pinion Angle

With the Torque arms that are adjustable, and you can set them at a angle for great traction for the 1/4... but when your leaving the track, do you need to set the angle at a diffent degree for the streets?

I'm not sure the effect from a handling standpoint (i'm sure mitch and trackbird do tho!), but I know having the TA at a more negative angle that people run at the track does put more strain on the u-joints and wears them faster.

The whole angle adjustment is it more for the track? I'm not looking to build a track car, I want to pull good times when I'm their, but I want the car to shine on the streets...

So are the adjustable torque arms just help while at the track?
I mean yes you could drive arround with the -2 angle, but as stated it will ruin your Ujoints, which I would'nt want to do obviously...

thoughts....

I've had my R/T torque arm at -2 since 2001 ( 3 years ) and haven't had to replace U joints yet, 25,000 miles on it. FWIW.
