Satisfied customer here, best mods you can do for these cars is a good spring/shock/sway bar combo

Sam's set up has worked great for me. If I could stop breaking everything else. Springs/shocks and sways here.

Almost lifting a wheel one handed.

This is extremely tempting, but I just bought headers...How long does this sale usually last, and what is the normal price of the HP-2.5?

Recommended but not required. The body will shift very slightly (sometimes squaring up since cars aren't always "off" the same way stock). And the PHB changes that. There is a small advantage in handling with more solid ends on a PHB, but it pales in comparison to a Fays2 Watts.

Depends how far you want to take the car. PHB is easy to add anytime. I carry more than a few.

Will a watts link address this issue as well?

Yup, you take out the panhard bar to put the Watts link in. If mounted and adjusted right it will square up the rear end

Sam,

I am about to take advantage of this, and I just have one question.

I won't be racing or auto-crossing, I just plan on going with the STR.T Konis and Dropped Springs.

My car's suspension is stock (12K miles), but I have Torq Thrust M Rims (10.5) in the rear with 315 35zr17's in the back, so it is tight. The car is a 2000 SS.

I will probably add the sway bars at a later date, and I also have purchased the full Hooker Blackheart Exhaust but that is not installed yet, if that matters.

I assume I will probably need an adjustable panhard bar to keep the wheels centered, but will I also need a relocation kit, or is this a small enough drop the adjustable bar itself should take care of that?

Thanks!

Rob

An adjustable PHB would be advised at the bare minimum given your wheels and the offset of them (44 I'm guessing). But remember that a PHB of any type is asymetric, meaning that you can set it square at static height but the way things work is the body moves left and right as it moves up and down. Typically with larger wheels and tires you have to set the PHB a little "crooked" to keep rubbing down in a dynamic situation.

If you run a PHB relocation kit, things get even more goofy as you make the PHB even more crooked so the arc the body moves in gets even bigger. This is what a Watts link stops. Body goes up, it goes down, it doesn't shake all around.

And PHB relocation kit isn't about fixing the PHB angle those are about making more room for exhausts. Not the best thing ever to compromise the suspension for that reason IMHO.

Thank you. I wasn't sure what the relocation kit was about, but that explained it perfectly. I will probably try a PHB to start, and if I have issues know I can go to your Watts link if I have issues in the future.

You will probably here from me tomorrow on your website. Thanks again!

Sam;

Is the Watts link that UMI is working on/developing a DEFINITE step up, or improvement on the Fays 2 (adjustibility, EASE OF adjustibility, mounting system, weight, durability, etc.)?

The Fays2 is already a screaming bargain for something PROVEN to work and that looks good as opposed to some things that look like they landed from the planet XYTXFWWA 42. No the Fays2 aren't on sale.

As for UMI Watts link. You'd have to ask them what the plan is. I know as of now nothing is even prototyped. And I'm sure I'll help how I can. And I don't want to take business from UMI but they don't have anything and it will be a while until they do. And because it doesn't exist I can't say better or not for obvious reasons but there is very little I don't like about the Fays2.
