4th Gen 3 Channel vs. 4 Channel ABS
A good friend has a '95 T/A which has a 3 channel abs 10 bolt. He wants to swap in a 10 bolt out of an '01 T/A which is a 4 channel abs 10 bolt with 3:73's. Are there any issues doing this swap? Thanks.

Sticky is in the gears and axles part of this site - check that out it should tell you everything you need to know. It can be done with some hassle, have to drill into the housing to insert the abs sensor to read off the reluctor ring. Getting a 3 channel is really a direct replacement, as long as everything is on the rear end (e-brake cables, brakes, and whatnot.) Just use your wiring for your 95 and plug that into the new rear end. I did a 3 channel 95 to a 3 channel 02 swap, everything is a direct swap, been driving on it for 3 months now. My gears went from 3.23 to 2.73 so my speedo is reading low and my ABS inop light is always on, doesn't bother me so I don't mind it. Others it will bother.
Still don't know if my abs light means that my abs will kick in when it should or if I have to reflash the computer for the correct gearing for it to work... I haven't lost traction while braking yet to see if it engages when it should
